Tutapona has been working with forcibly displaced people affected by war and conflict in Uganda since 2008, Kurdistan, Iraq since 2016, and eastern Europe since 2022. Since our beginning, more than 60,000 people have taken part in one of our mental health programs. We see exciting results among participants, with a measurable reduction in their trauma symptomology, increased well-being, and increased resilience to face future challenges. Mental health impacts every aspect of life from family, livelihood, education, physical health, and community relationships, and we seek to empower individuals and communities to not only overcome hardships but to thrive because of them. Little Free Library is a nonprofit organization based in St. Paul, Minnesota. Our mission is to be a catalyst for building community, inspiring readers, and expanding book access for all through a global network of volunteer-led Little Free Library book-exchange boxes.
Our vision is a Little Free Library in every community and a book for every reader. We believe all people are empowered when the opportunity to discover a personally relevant book to read is not limited by time, space, or privilege.

Melanoma: Self detection & prevention
Melanoma, a skin cancer that is often lethal but, when found early, is easily cured in an outpatient setting without a need for follow-up chemo or radiation. The American Cancer Society predicts 200,340 new U.S. cases of melanoma in 2024; It can strike anyone from preteen to elderly. I have devoted the past 23 years to educating teen students and adults about self-detection and prevention of melanoma. For more information, please visit https://skincheck.org |
